Crispin’s next occupier was HW Poole & Sons, Boot and Shoe Manufacturers. This is when Crispin was renamed after the patron saint of shoemakers, cobblers, and leatherworkers, St Crispin. The ‘1926’ stonework placed in commemoration of the extension commissioned at the time is still visible.
